Privacy Policy.
Solomon Katsman ("we," "our," "the practice") respects the privacy of the small number of people who visit this website. This Privacy Policy explains what limited information we receive when you use solomonkatsman.com, how we handle it, and the rights you have under California, federal, and international law.
This policy applies only to solomonkatsman.com. It does not cover any separate engagement, consultation, or client relationship you may have with the practice, which is governed by a separate written agreement.
01Who we are
This website is operated by Solomon Katsman, a wealth strategist working with a limited number of founder-operators, real-estate holders, and exit-bound founders each year. The practice is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area and operates with the actuarial, third-party administrator, and compliance infrastructure of Alpha Innovation Partners. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Solomon Katsman" refers to the practice and its operator.
02Information we collect
Information you provide voluntarily
The website includes a correspondence form on The Katsman Quarterly. The ways you can voluntarily share information with us are:
- By submitting the correspondence form, where you may share your name, email address, and optional business name so we can send future issues;
- By clicking a "Request an introduction" or similar booking link, which routes you to a Google Calendar appointment page where you may share your name, email address, and a brief message;
- By emailing the practice directly at katsman_solomon@aipfinancial.net, in which case we receive whatever information you include in your message;
- By calling the practice at (925) 789-7854, in which case we receive your phone number, voice, and the content of the call.
Information automatically collected
Our hosting provider (Vercel) maintains standard server logs for security, performance, and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs may include your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. We do not use these logs to personally identify visitors, and we do not combine them with any other information about you.
03How we use information
We use the information described above only to:
- Respond to your inquiries and arrange consultations;
- Operate, secure, and improve the website;
- Comply with legal obligations (tax records, regulatory inquiries, court orders).
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone for any purpose. We do not use it for behavioral advertising. We do not build profiles for resale.
04Cookies and tracking
This site does not set its own tracking cookies, does not use Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms, and does not embed advertising pixels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.). Your browser may use ordinary functional storage (for example, to remember a fonts preference), which is not used to track you across the web.
If you click a link that takes you to a third-party site (such as the Google Calendar booking page), that third party operates under its own privacy policy, which we describe in the next section.
05Third-party services
The website uses a small number of third-party services in the ordinary course of being a website. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
- Vercel hosts the website. Vercel's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on the site. Google's privacy policy.
- Google Calendar handles consultation booking when you click "Request an introduction." When you book, you share information directly with Google. Google's privacy policy.
- MailerLite processes correspondence-form submissions so requested publication emails can be delivered. MailerLite's privacy policy.
- GitHub stores the source code of the website. GitHub's privacy statement.
06When we share information
We share personal information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With your consent - if you ask us to share information with a specific person (for example, your CPA or attorney during a coordinated tax-planning engagement);
- With service providers who help operate the practice (for example, an administrative assistant scheduling appointments), bound by confidentiality obligations;
- To comply with law - in response to a subpoena, court order, or government request we reasonably believe is lawful;
- To protect rights and safety - if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud, security incidents, or harm.
07Your rights
California residents (CCPA and CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected about you, to request access to specific pieces of information, to request deletion, and to request correction. You may also request that we limit the use of "sensitive personal information." We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is no opt-out to exercise. To make a request, contact us at the email address in Section 12. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom residents (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict the processing of, or port any personal information we hold about you. You may also withdraw any consent you previously gave. Our legal basis for processing the limited information we collect is our legitimate interest in operating the practice and responding to inquiries you initiate. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address in Section 12.
Other jurisdictions
Visitors in jurisdictions with similar privacy laws (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Canada, Australia, and others) generally have comparable rights. We will honor reasonable requests regardless of where you reside.
08Data retention
We keep the limited information you voluntarily share only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, maintain a client relationship if one develops, comply with our legal and regulatory obligations (typically seven years for financial-services correspondence), and resolve any disputes. Server logs are retained by Vercel for the period described in their privacy policy.
09Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including using encrypted transport (HTTPS), keeping email and phone accounts protected by strong authentication, and limiting access to a small number of trusted parties. No system is perfect, and you should never send sensitive personal or financial information by unsecured email.
10Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults considering financial-planning services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently received information from a child, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, if changes are material, post a notice on the homepage. Continued use of the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
